DESCRIPTION

Luscombe Maye are delighted to bring to market The Old Bakehouse in Diptford, a three bedroom detached dormer bungalow situated right in the heart of the village which holds many historic stories from its former days of providing bread to the local community.
An entrance hall leads through to the main reception room, which has high ceilings and would have housed the bread ovens back in the day. This split level room, which is divided by a large chimney with a woodburning stove, has provided a great space for the current owner for entertaining friends and family alike. There are stairs leading up to a snug area, which could provide space for a home office, children's play area or musical area, which is what the current owner has opted for. There is a further reception room, which has been utilised as a bedroom, plus a shower room with a double shower tray and WC which provides the versatility of having the option to be able to live completely downstairs in this home. The kitchen-dining room comprises matching wooden floor and wall units with an integrated NEFF oven, NEFF four ring hob and ceramic sink. There is also space and plumbing for a washing machine, fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer and this room enjoys underfloor heating. A large opening from the kitchen leads to a dining area, which has ample room for a dining-table and chairs.

Stairs ascend to the first floor landing and access to the two bedrooms, both of which enjoy views towards the nearby countryside with the Church spire in view too. The main bedroom is a good size and has the benefit of having built in wardrobes plus it's own en-suite shower room. There is various useful storage areas within the eaves.

OUTSIDE

Situated on the side of the home and enjoying an East to West orientation, is a low maintenance garden with a raised decking area which is perfect for positioning an outside dining-table set. A door from the kitchen leads out to this space, so you can enjoy some Al-Fresco dining. The garden is enclosed partly by an exposed stone wall and enjoys a range of mature shrubs and bushes and there is a gate leading out to the front of the property.

There is also an off road parking space situated the other side of the home.
