HAVING BEEN VERY MUCH LOVED IN RECENT TIMES this super three bedroomed cottage is ready for a new owner and hopefully someone who will restore the super Georgian features and really make the most of what's on offer. There is an abundance of features including traditional doors with brass ironmongery, sash windows, beams etc
The accommodation is charming yet practical and offers some super space, perfect for someone wanting to create a great home in a really convenient part of town. Within minutes you can be buying fresh bread and coffee, grabbing a takeaway or enjoying your favourite tipple in one of the Market Place's bars.
Inside there's a cosy lounge with breakfast kitchen beyond and ancillary space too, there are three bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and a wooden ladder leads to a spacious attic room - a perfect den for teenagers or work from home space or a hobbies room etc.
However, our favourite part is the private and enclosed courtyard garden - come and see for yourself!

OWNERS' COMMENTS

Our mother lived here for 36 years and absolutely loved it. She enjoyed the convenience of living near the shops, supermarkets, caf?s and restaurants. Very handy for dentist and doctor, too! St. Helen's Street is a real community, with caring and supportive neighbours, which Mum really appreciated during lockdown. A keen walker, she also appreciated being close to the Lakes and the fells. Having lived in a modern house for 20 years prior to moving to Cockermouth, she fell in love with the character of this house, which dates from around 1750, with its thick walls and old beams. The house was big enough for many gatherings of friends and family and her five grandchildren have very happy memories of Grandma's house. They particularly loved the attic room. She loved her courtyard garden, which she filled with plants and pots, and where she enjoyed a glass of wine on sunny evenings. The house has been a happy home and Mum would be delighted to see it being passed on to a new owner who would love it like she did.
