What the owner says: The owner: I have lived abroad a long time and thought I would return to England. My father lives locally and is very knowledgeable about buildings and kindly sought and found a spacious, one-bedroom flat well located and preferably older and terraced. He found this one and I was delighted with it. We made many improvements - too many to list - and were adamant about insulating and conserving energy. The current EPC is actually lower than what it would have been because at the time taken the heating boiler was not a condensing boiler. We replaced with a condensing boiler shortly after the EPC survey. While working there we found the neighbours immensely helpful - they have always continued to be - and the whole area is very pleasant. However, I have never actually lived in the flat because I got a new job abroad I could not turn down, so we rented out the flat, supervised by my father.Tenants have enjoyed the flat and looked after it well - we provided good quality whites (AEG washer/dryer, Bosch Dishwasher, Bosch Fridge and Freezer, Bosh Oven, which, by the way, we would be happy to include for a modest sum. Our tenants were very glad to have such low running costs and only left when they moved to London. As soon as the flat went online by the end of the evening on the first day we had to halt the advertising as we were flooded with requests. Our shared Freeholder on the ground floor is very helpful and co-operative. All I can say is that It is a lovely flat, with a lovely feel and with low overheads. and no nasty surprises as we had dealt with those when we bought it.
