From the 1st June 2022 National Trading Standards requires that all property listings contain certain mandatory information. This information is important as it enables consumers to be more informed about properties in which they are interested and have a better idea of the costs involved. All property listings must now contain information on – tenure (including ground rent provisions, service charge provisions, commonhold provision and lease length - all where relevant), pricing (including any deposit payable) and council tax bands or rates. Where this information is not contained in a property listing you should contact the relevant agent directly to request it.
