Owners Interview
We have loved living at Katong and raising our family here. We have so many happy memories of cosy Christmas's, summer BBQ's and everything in between. Now that our nest is empty it's time for us to downsize, and for another family to fill the house with the same love and laughter we have enjoyed so much over the years.
Katong really is a fantastic home; the open plan living makes it very sociable, it's adaptable and a great space for entertaining, be it a small gathering or a big party - we've hosted them all! The bespoke kitchen is well appointed with high-end built-in appliances, and as it overlooks the garden and the sea beyond it really is a pleasure to spend time there. Light floods into the house at the rear, making the rooms warm, bright and airy, and the huge sliding doors to the terrace literally bring the outside inside. You can choose to house your BBQ on the terrace or down on the decking, which is another great entertaining area.

With plenty of flexibility for outdoor dining, the bar and hot tub add an extra element of fun.
The beautiful sea views over the Bay towards Brixham and the Berryhead Lighthouse are stunning; we love to sit on the terrace on a warm summer's evening looking out across the sea. No two days are ever the same, the sunrise is often spectacular, and you really can watch the weather coming in.
Three of the four bedrooms have sea views and the master bedroom, with its vaulted ceiling and ensuite bathroom, really is quite special.
In the winter there is nothing nicer than snuggling up in front of the log burner. The cosy front room is more like a snug, and with the ability to close it off it really is a relaxing retreat.

As well as being a wonderful home, the neighbourhood is also great. It's a small friendly road with neighbours always ready to lend a hand if needed. And with only a 5 minute walk to Cockington Country Park and a 20 minute walk to the beach the outdoors life is literally right on the doorstep.
We are sorry to be leaving Katong, but no longer need so much space. We hope that Katong will continue to be a vibrant home filled with the love and joy it deserves.
