The house was built in the late 1800s when Hastings and St Leonards were regarded as incredibly fashionable towns to live in. These lovely seaside towns have undergone a renaissance and are again thought to be the most sought-after seaside locations, close to London and particularly valued amongst people working in the creative industries who seek out the cool vibe and the continual round of creative events in the town. Hastings also enjoys the acclaimed independent restaurants, pubs and cafes, The Hastings Contemporary Gallery, independent shops and of course the seaside and nearby countryside.

Built for the daughter of a wealthy businessman for what was at the time a very generous budget, Baytree House created a signature property for the area. The Park is famed for its arboretum - one of the best in the UK. The Park was named for Alexandra, one of the daughters of Queen Victoria and has retained its Green Flag status since 2005.

Everything is close at hand from the independent shops, galleries and cinemas of St Leonards, the convenience of the shopping in the centre of the Town and the charm of Hastings Old Town.

Transport and Connections
Hastings Station is a short walk from Baldslow Road, which connects with trains to London Victoria, London Charing Cross, London Bridge and Waterloo East as well as, via a change at Ashford the high-speed connection to Kings Cross St Pancras International. Brighton, Eastbourne, Gatwick Airport and Ashford International are all easy to access direct by train.

London is around 90 minutes' drive from Hastings.
