Architecture and Interior

In the neighbourhood

The High Street is the beating heart of Hastings Old Town with several well-known names choosing to make this street their home. Yet this part of the road is set apart from the bustle of the shops, pubs and cafes at the further end of the street and is incredibly peaceful with a community feel to it. The house is an easy walk to the seafront, the famed shops and pubs of The Old Town and close to the expanses of The Country Park with its superb cliff top walks. The neighbouring house is the famed Smugglers Cottage which has a rich and extravagant history.

Transport and connections

Hastings Station isn't too far away and that connects to London Victoria, London Charing Cross, London Bridge and Waterloo East as well as St Pancras International via Ashford International.

Shops in Hastings Old Town are largely independent as are the cafes, pubs and restaurants which are getting national acknowledgements. There are major supermarkets within easy reach including Marks and Spencer, Tesco, Sainsburys, Lidl, Morrisons, Co-Op, Aldi. There's an independent cinema in nearby St Leonards along with several art and galleries.

The town of Hastings has become a hub for creative thinkers. Combined with the almost constant round of social, cultural and historic events which take place throughout the year in Hastings, make this a lively and very active town to be based in.
