What first drew me in was the generous size—it’s unusually spacious for a one-bedroom and with its own private front door and no shared corridors, it feels far more like a house than a typical flat. That sense of independence and roominess made it easy to make the space my own. Whether setting up a proper home office, hosting friends, or just enjoying a living area that never feels cramped, the layout has offered a lot of flexibility.
The flat is tucked away from the main road, so it’s incredibly peaceful, but still brilliantly located—just a 17-minute walk to East Croydon station, where fast trains can get you to London Bridge in around 14 minutes. Both Selhurst and West Croydon stations are also just a 10-minute walk away, giving you multiple travel options and excellent connectivity.
While there isn’t a private garden or balcony, the park next door has been a real bonus. It’s perfect for a quick walk, picnic, or just enjoying some green space without having to go far. In the summer, I’ve loved opening up the windows to let the breeze in, and in winter, the flat feels bright, warm and cosy all day thanks to its well-designed layout and natural light.
It’s been a fantastic first home—comfortable, practical, and welcoming. Now, with my partner, I’m moving on to the next chapter, but I’ll always have fond memories of this place. I hope the next owner enjoys it as much as I have."
