**GUIDE PRICE 450,000-475,000** My Great-Grandmother gave this land to my father as a wedding present and the house was built by my parents in the late 50s. Growing up here was an idyllic childhood with plenty of places to explore on our bikes and lots of trees to climb and dens to make. As I got older, I started to really appreciate the equilibrium of all that nature has to offer, including the occasional garden visit by muntjac deer, and ease of access to Colchester and Clacton for modern amenities. My family can be traced back in the area to the 1600s so I really can affirm the location has been fantastic! Glen Helen is very versatile so adapts well if you need an office from home. The layout could be changed too, or you could extend (subject to professional advice and planning). The feel of the house is cosy and homely and the Rayburn in the kitchen made that the centre of the home during the cold winter months, but I do understand new owners will want to make changes to their taste and style. The garden is a key strength, as a child I dont remember my mother shopping for groceries we had fresh vegetables straight from the garden to the kitchen table, so mealtimes were happy and healthy. Some neighbours have chickens and ducks too which is a lovely way for children to learn about nature alongside the freshest eggs for breakfast. Its time for someone else to look after Glen Helen and all I can say is that it was a wonderful home to grow up in.
