WHAT THE OWNER SAYS: When we decided to build our own home, we spent a lot of time searching for the perfect location. It had to be peaceful and filled with birdsong. Initially, we were concerned about the nearby railway, but after several visits, we found the trains to be barely noticeable due to the dense foliage and their slow speed. It truly met all our criteria: semi-rural, exceptionally quiet, with a spacious wraparound garden.

We built the house with the intention of staying long-term, and we spared no expense in its design and construction. Every detail was carefully considered, and only the finest materials were used—our kitchen alone cost nearly £50,000. Sadly and with regret, due to unforeseen health issues, we are now faced with the difficult decision to sell. It's not a choice we’ve taken lightly, but unfortunately, it's necessary.

This exceptional home, meticulously crafted by the current owner, is a true labor of love. Unlike typical developer-built properties, no expense has been spared in its construction. From the exquisite custom-built kitchen to the hand-crafted brick chimney, every detail has been thoughtfully considered, with the entire house painted in luxurious Mylands paint.

This spacious home is efficiently heated by a ground source heat pump, providing underfloor heating throughout both the ground and first floors, making it remarkably cost-effective to maintain.

Designed to maximize natural light, the house features cleverly positioned windows and roof lights that bathe the interiors in sunlight. Subtle paneling, combined with a palette of reclaimed and natural materials, gives this modern home a character often missing in new builds, while still retaining a contemporary feel. Each bedroom has an ensuite, with the principal bedroom on the first floor boasting a private balcony with stunning views. Modern aluminum double glazing, framed in oak, adds a touch of elegance and charm.

The front of the property is approached via a reclaimed herringbone brick path, leading through a beautifully landscaped garden to a solid green oak porch. Upon entering, you are greeted by a grand hallway, filled with light from skylights and a fixed glass window that offers a view into the garden beyond.

To the left, the vaulted kitchen-dining area impresses with its generous proportions and grand atmosphere. The bespoke kitchen, with light quartz countertops, a large central island, and breakfast bar, creates a social and welcoming space. Adjacent is a practical utility room with additional bespoke cabinetry, loft space with wooden ladder access, and an external door to the garden for added convenience.

The lounge, with its square proportions and stunning fireplace housing a multifuel log burner, is both light and airy in the summer and cozy in the winter. The ground floor also features a flexible bedroom suite with a large bedroom, dressing room, and a spacious ensuite, as well as another double bedroom currently used as a reading room and snug, located near a ground floor shower room and W/C.

Ascending the oak and glass staircase to the first floor, you are greeted by an abundance of natural light, culminating in a window seat on the landing. This floor includes another double ensuite bedroom and the principal bedroom with an integrated balcony and large ensuite. There is also significant loft space with sturdy wooden ladder access.

The exterior of the property is equally impressive, with a large oak-faced carport and garage store, offering ample storage space above, and equipped with power and water for added convenience. The wraparound garden is private, featuring mature trees, a kitchen garden, and a substantial decorative shingle patio edged with sleepers. The thoughtful use of natural materials and textures throughout the property is truly striking.

Benefitting from a beautiful kitchen garden, with raised beds and fruit trees really make this a complete garden.

Architecturally, the complex roof design adds to the house’s impressive and distinctive appearance, making it a standout property in any setting.

HARRISONS HOMES, A HOUSE IS A BUILDING, A HOME IS A FEELING

We now offer a higher level of certainty to Buyers and Sellers by offering a Reservation Agreement before we remove a property from the market.

Our system stops either party just walking away or attempting to renegotiate the price after an offer is accepted. With our Secure process, once the offer has been agreed, both Buyer and Seller sign a Reservation Agreement, the property is then formally withdrawn from the market and both are bound by the terms within.

If either party withdraw and break the agreement then the innocent party is entitled to a compensation payment which Gazeal guarantee. This gives both parties security and peace of mind that the sale is secure and means that you reduce the risk of fall throughs.

For more information on reservation agreements visit www.harrisonshomes.co.uk and click secure your sale.
