This impressive 1930s family home sits in 0.287 of an acre and includes a detached two-bedroom annexe. It is approached via solid wood gates that open onto a carriage driveway that leads to inner gates and a separate parking area.

The house has immediate external appeal and this appeal continues with the stained glass inner front door and hallway with terracotta herringbone tiled flooring, panelled doors, picture rails, the original oak staircase and a cloakroom. The dual aspect lounge includes a bay window, picture rails and a stone fireplace with a gas fire and the dual aspect dining room also has a bay window and a gas fire with a stone surround while the rear sitting room has French doors to the garden.

The large contemporary kitchen/breakfast room has ceramic tiles with underfloor heating and includes a range cooker, flat-fronted units housing various appliances and a large store cupboard as well as a utility area with picture windows.

Upstairs, the galleried landing has access to the large boarded attic and leads to the contemporary family bathroom and four double bedrooms including the 20ft main bedroom with French doors to the front balcony, a bay window, fitted cupboards and an en suite shower, a guest room with an en suite bathroom and a dual aspect double with fitted wardrobes.

The annexe hallway provides access to the bathroom and the spacious lounge/diner. The fitted kitchen has built in appliances while a dual aspect double bedroom has French doors to a terraced area. Upstairs there is a second double bedroom and eaves storage.

The rear garden is surrounded by trees, shrub borders, high hedging and fencing providing privacy and security. There is a garden shed, a gazebo covered seating area, spacious terraces and a large lawn.

What the Owner says:

We have lived here for the past 15 years and have thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We originally purchased the property because we wanted to use the annexe as offices but we now need to move to something smaller. During our time here we have installed the new kitchen, bathrooms, and cloakroom that all have underfloor heating and completely redesigned the garden.
The house is in a convenient location as it is not far from the dual carriageway for access to London, Dover and Canterbury and we are close to both Ramsgate station and Thanet Parkway station where trains can whisk you to St Pancras in 70 minutes. There are excellent primary, grammar and private schools available and plenty of opportunities to enjoy a variety of sporting activities including golf, sailing, croquet, bowls and tennis.
There are lovely local walks for dog owners and it is not far to Pegwell with its hotel and pubs offering wonderful views across the bay. While Ramsgate town centre includes a wide variety of restaurants, independent shops, hair and beauty salons and supermarkets.
