Curtisknowle is a tiny hamlet tucked away in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Avon Valley about halfway between Totnes and Modbury. While it appears remote on a map, it is quite accessible with Totnes within eight miles and the A38 within six. Just down the road, the River Avon has a disused railway line alongside it providing beautiful woodland riverside walks.
