Pinches, of John Pinches Medallists - the dominant medallists in the UK from 1850 to 1971. Mr. Pinches� workshop remains intact beside the garden pond. He personally created many commemorative medals, including those for King Edward VII, Sir Winston Churchill, and Sir Peter Scott. The Pinches firm also produced all the Olympic medals for the 1948 Games in London, which the current owner attended as the 14-year-old son of the proprietor.
