Location
South Moreton is a pretty village with an attractive High Street with a variety of character properties. The village run Crown public house, which has an excellent restaurant; this is a very pretty pub. There is a playing field with an active and well-thought of local primary school.
Tesco and Sainsbury`s are within five minutes drive, as is Didcot Parkway station, which gives an intercity fast train commuter service to London Paddington that takes 40 minutes. There is also a Waitrose in the market town of Wallingford, which lies on the Thames, which is approximately 10 minutes drive. A farmers` market is held regularly in Didcot within the area of the Orchard Centre which has a number of quality shops and there is also a recently opened Arts Centre and a multi-screen cinema complex. The surrounding countryside is noted to be of outstanding rural beauty and footpaths are within easy access enabling very pretty walks through open countryside. This is also excellent riding country with the Downs giving access to gallops, bridle paths and the Blewbury Riding Centre. There are lots of restaurants in the area, including The Sweet Olive in Aston Tirrold which serves fine French food, as well as pub meals
