Horam, Heathfield, East Sussex

Horam is a small village in Heathfield, East Sussex, with a population of just under 4,000. It is an attractive area, with rolling hills and countryside, and is within easy reach of the nearby seaside towns of Eastbourne and Hastings. The village has a number of independent shops and businesses, as well as a local butcher, greengrocer and bakery. There are two pubs, The White Horse and The King's Head, plus several local restaurants, cafes and tea rooms. It has two churches, Horam Parish Church and Horam Methodist Church, and a village hall. The area is popular with families and commuters, with excellent transport links to London, Brighton and other major towns and cities. It is also a great place to live for those who want to take advantage of the great outdoors – with lots of walking and cycling trails, as well as a golf course.
