It's located on the southern edge of the historic city of Derby and is a sought-after location close to Elvaston, with its beautiful country park, and Alvaston which has a picturesque riverside park. The village is just 5 miles from the city centre, so you really do get the best of both worlds if you choose a new home here.

Derby is very well-connected with the national rail network and there are excellent links to Nottingham, Birmingham, and Stoke-on-Trent. Both the M1 and the M6 are within easy reach too. If it's an escape to the country that you're after, the wonderful Peak District National Park is an easy drive north of Derby and closer to home the River Trent winds its way through the countryside a short distance to the south.
